The security and privacy of the users is of utmost priority at THE PLACEMENT. We work towards providing our users a secure, user-friendly and comfortable experience. The following Policy enlists in detail all the policies, activities and rules that apply to THE PLACEMENT application. Regardless, these do not apply to any other forum through which information is collected.
External links to other websites and domains we do not have dominance over are also present in THE PLACEMENT app; it is important to note that we do not have any jurisdiction in said case. THE PLACEMENT cannot be held accountable for the practices of these external sites and the information you wish to share with them. We would recommend that you first check the authenticity and policies of these certain links/websites before you share any sensitive information on their domains.
When you choose to register with us, we request sensitive information from you that may
be used to identify you; name, Contact number, email address, residential address,
occupation, Date of birth, etc. We also collect demographic information like age
and gender as well.
We also tend to collect information regarding the amount of usage by The Placements’
users such as the sections and departments you visit in the app, what department
do you consider most handy for your work/personal use, what kind of services are
more preferable to you, etc. The IP addresses, domain names, browser types, data
usage and frequent website addresses are also noted and stored.
We use this information to assist us in any technical or security problems that
may occur at any time, while also allowing us to improve our service in any needed
areas, and make sure the user has the experience he is warranted for. Users’ collective
data usage and volume statistics are taken and analyzed so as to monitor and maintain
the apps quality and service to the user. This information can also be used to fix
and detect any technical errors. The above information however, cannot be used in
any way to personally identify the user and neither can it be utilized to trace identities
of the same.
If you opt for the ‘Tell a friend’ service and invite them to download THE PLACEMENT
app, or wish to share a job posting with a friend who is a non-user, we will be asking
you to share your friends email address with us after which we will be directly sending
that posting and an invitation to visit THE PLACEMENT . Information taken from you
will only be used for sending the aforementioned email only.
No information is saved or stored without your specific consent in this regard.
You also have the option of entering your friends email directly into the “Invite
a Colleague/Friend” option. fir this purpose will only be used If you choose to use
our referral service to tell a friend about THE PLACEMENT or refer a job posting
to a friend, we will ask you for your friend's email address. We will automatically
send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit THE PLACEMENT website
or view the job posting. This information is used for no other purpose than to send
out this one time email. We provide you two options to allow you to refer your friends
to our site. When you choose to access your email account from your THE PLACEMENT
account, and send your personal contacts an email, we only use the email information
you select by checking the box next to each email to service your request to send
this one time email from your account.
We do not store any email information from your email account without your explicit
consent. You can also enter a friend's email directly into the 'Invite Colleagues'
email field. We do not store this information nor is it shared with any third parties
for their promotional purposes.
The information we collect on THE PLACEMENT be it, personal, demographic, geographic,
collective or technical, all of it is for the sole aim of providing our best possible
service to you and so that we can keep improvising as per our users’ needs- growing
towards providing our users with a customized experience with us, and delivering
them the services they have been promised.
Your email address is used to send you notifications and any important updates along
with monthly newsletters if you have subscribed to them. Notification emails are
only sent when the matter concerned is of grave importance or if reaching you otherwise
is not possible in that moment, or if you need to be notified of a technical or security
issue that might affect your use of the app. However, in the case opting out of receiving
excessive emails, you can choose to unsubscribe to our monthly newsletters and job
alerts by clicking at the Unsubscribe link we provide at the bottom of each email.
Users also need to take note that while using any external chat rooms or external
links on the app wherein they share sensitive information can be saved, copied and
used by anyone involved. THE PLACEMENT is not responsible for any mishap or use of
personal information that occurs through these links or chat rooms. THE PLACEMENT
obtains user information only by specific self given consent.
Personal User Information is not provided or shared with any external sources for advertising
or brand promotion activities by THE PLACEMENT. If ever such a case occurs, User
consent will be specifically taken.
However, we outsource a few service providers which monitor some technical areas
and provide services to you on the app. Outsourcing is also used while collecting
Online payments via different E-payment methods when you purchase our products and
services. These external service providers however, do not have access to your personal
information directly and neither are they allowed to use any sensitive information
for any other activity except for the one assigned to them.
As for the sharing of personal information to external parties; this only occurs
if we have been legally ordered to do so by federal government bodies. The disclosure
of personal information is only an option for us when:
a) we are legally ordered by any given court of law or the information has been
demanded via subpoena.
b) If the question of security of our users’ occurs. c) to prevent any cyber crime,
or helping in any illegal activity happening regarding the same.
Being a career building site, we provide users with options to upload their own self
made Resumes in PDF or document/word format on their User Profiles; here the users
can either keep their Resume viewable for public(view only option), or they can choose
to keep it private. The users’ Resume can only be accessed for sharing and saving
by the employer/ company the candidate has applied to. Recruiters won’t have direct
access to any of the candidate’s sensitive information unless the candidate applies
for a job vacancy posted by them on THE PLACEMENT app.
You can also remove or delete your Resume from your User account on THE PLACEMENT
and send your Resume only to those companies where you choose to apply to. Once you
remove your Resume from your User account, it becomes inaccessible to anyone on the
Placement. However, employers or recruiters may have kept a copy of your resume with
them when you previously applied through THE PLACEMENT to their job vacancies.
In this case, THE PLACEMENT will not be responsible or held accountable
for the use or security of the information of those resumes later on.
THE PLACEMENT has necessary security precautions and policies in place which restrict
any external parties/users to access, misuse, tamper or disclose User profile information.
However, we cannot completely guarantee that unauthorized personnel will never be
able to get into our servers to access the same.
It is pertinent to note here that there may be a few public posting areas in THE PLACEMENT wherein you can add sensitive information; like custom resume search or custom company search, etc. Kindly do bear in mind that any sensitive information posted in such areas does not come under the protection of THE PLACEMENT and we cannot be held responsible for any mishap coming to pass by the use of this information by any external user/party.

The brand logos of companies associated with us are the property of their respective owners alone. All material written and graphic, displayed on THE PLACEMENT is the property of The Placements’ owners specifically. Sale, modification or duplication of this App/Website is explicitly prohibited and punishable by law. The use of our content on any other website or App for any purpose is restricted
THE PLACEMENT App and website is not suitable for the use of Children below the age of 13 years. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information from children below the aforementioned age and hence cannot be held accountable for relevant activities.
